What Upcoming Games Interest You?

Matteo Bittanti has a short post highlighting the 2006 games that he is waiting forr. It's an interesting mix of games, with the following of some interest to me:

In fact, there are a bunch of SF themed games coming to the 360 too, but that's another post.

Which games are you looking forwad to this year?

Are shooters on the 360 as notoriously difficult as shooters I've tried on other consoles? I've played Halo 2 on the XBox and Battlefront II on the PSP and had real trouble with both. It still seems like mouse/keyboard are the way to go for shooters, but I see that they keep releasing more of them, so maybe they're improving the controls somehow.

Battlefront on the PSP bit control-wise because they mapped the controls exactly backward from the way they should be, and you couldn't remap it. I had a little difficulty with Halo because my thumb doesn't seem to be as precise as using my whole hand on a mouse, but otherwise it wasn't too bad.

Aaron has no problem with either Battlefront or Battlefront 2 on the Xbox. He routinely kicks the @$$ of the computer AI. And he's a dead shot.

I just have never been a fan of the dual joystick thing as a control scheme for FPS games. The saving grace is that there are companies that sell controller connectors that allow me to plug in a PS2 mouse and keyboard and go WASD with a mouse for serious gaming. Now I have seen SOCOM on the PSP and apparently they figured out the right way to do shooting control there, but I am still not buying into it darned it...
