Warcraft - the movie!

In what has to be the continuation of a terrible trend, Blizzard announced they are working with Legendary Pictures on a movie based on the Warcraft universe. I guess we should be happy it isn't Uwe Bole isn't doing it, but I predict this movie can be no better than the Tomb Raider movies or any other movie based on a game property. Frankly, not to much game content translates well to the big screen. But, people never give up because the reward seems so huge.

I hope they make it as true to the game as possible. Here are some suggestions:

1. Make the people wait in line to see the movie citing that the queue is full.

2. 30 minutes into the movie, they should put up the on the screen, "Handshaking" and make them wait for another 30 minutes before continuing the movie. During the wait, some Blizzard rep should come out and tell you how they apologize for the inconvience, and thanks you for your patience.

3. Every 10 minutes, some little child should come up to you and ask you to rewatch with them the Deadmines portion of the movie and they'll give you one whole dollar for it.

4. Have some obnoxious guy shout: "More Dots! More Dots!" and tell you that you'll lose 50 DKPs if your cellphone rings during the movie!

I would have prefered that they did a Starcraft themed movie myself since I feel that universe has a bit more color to it than the Warcraft one. Don't get me wrong, I think doing a movie is not all bad, but it better not be live action. I think Blizzard does some of the finest CGI in the industry, and a movie in that way would be great.

As to Pete's comments, I have noticed marked improvement in the login experience, and while I understand it is satire, I am confused why you still play...

I continue to play because I recognize that it's a fact of [WoW] life...

...and because I have no [real] life... :-S
