The (Almost) Never Ending GalCiv 2 Game

You like GalCiv 2. You like it so much you bought the expansion. But do you have the guts to actually play a Gigantic game? Paul Davies, of PC Gamer, does and did. His report of the game from hell is utterly hilarious as well as long. It's a good read, even if you don't know GalCiv 2 from a hole in the ground. And people thought the OOTS boardgame was long.

For those of us losers who didn't know GalCiv from a hole in the ground, a link would have been helpful.

The game is fantastic and incredibly deep. That story really makes me want to fire it up again and play through a larger campaign...

Ok, now THAT was funny! it was also a pretty good review of what happens in a game along with the behind the screens logic of what makes utterly incomprehensible (at the time) computer generated moves seem rational in hindsight. I'm actually motivated to go out looking for a game that doesn't use an xbox 360 controlled..a great link, thanks!
